I was watching this video again:

at 2:44 Kazuhiro talks about how he always seen kanjo cars when he was in elementary and junior high school. He would see his elders driving them and would eventually lead him to driving them as well. His story reminded me of ナニワトモアレ vol 1 when Mr. Jerk and Mabo go for a spin in the veterans EA-T.
